The Sensory GroundFX interactive display system from GestureTek Health projects engaging special effects and multimedia games directly onto an interactive floor. Popular in medical waiting rooms, this fully interactive floor display unit delivers a hybrid of creative and engaging activities and sensory experiences that stimulate children’s imaginations and lower anxiety levels. The system is activated by motion and movement.
Used in hospitals, doctors’ offices and sensory rooms, this hands-free, gesture-controlled entertainment system is always hygienic. Unlike conventional toys, there’s no risk of cross-contamination and no washing or disinfecting required.
GroundFX offers an accessible virtual reality play environment for children of all ages and abilities. Even children with limited mobility have the opportunity to participate in games that might otherwise be inaccessible. The technology is designed to track body movement, responding to even the slightest gesture with dynamically changing images and effects. Sensory GroundFX lets children be masters of their own environment.
More than 25 applications are included with the system. Designed to spark their natural curiosity, applications allow children to do things like set off fireworks in the sky, crack ice as they move across a virtual frozen pond, swim with sharks or goldfish in a virtual pond or kick a virtual ball. Themed applications are also available to celebrate holidays such as Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and to teach children concepts such as numbers, weather, geography and animals. Additional customized theme packages tailored for any special requirement are also available.

How It Works
Sensory GroundFX is based upon GestureTek's patented video gesture control technology. This system showcases an interactive virtual world where the state-of-the-art tracking system within the software reads the position of the body at all times, allowing for real-time movement and interaction with the display graphics.
GroundFX can be projected onto any flat surface with scalable display sizes. Work is done through system integrators who handle all facets of site inspection, installation, activation, and system maintenance. Aided by remote diagnostics, GroundFX monitors and maintains all field units to keep display(s) running smoothly.
The system consists of a projector, IR strip, camera, computer, software and a variety of interactive applications. All components are accredited and come with a warranty. Installation can be seamless. The projector is ceiling-mounted and the components can be hidden from view.
